Our priority countries 2026
The GHA – German Health Alliance is active worldwide and engaged in numerous countries and regions. In 2025, we will focus specifically on three selected markets that are of particular strategic importance to our members:
USA
The USA is the most important export market for German medical technology and pharmaceutical companies. As an innovation-driven healthcare market with high investment volumes, the United States offers diverse opportunities for German healthcare solutions – from high-tech products to digital applications. With targeted activities, delegation trips, and networking contacts, we support our members in successfully accessing the market and expanding their presence.
Egypt
As North Africa's most populous country, Egypt plays a central role in healthcare in the region. With comprehensive reforms and significant investments in the healthcare sector, Egypt is an attractive partner for German providers. The GHA is expanding existing partnerships and actively supporting the development of contacts with public and private stakeholders.

- 2022: Healthcare Roundtable with the Egyptian Embassy in Berlin
- 2022: Support and participation in a delegation trip to Cairo
- 2024: Exchange with the Sovereign Fund of Egypt and the Ministry of Health
- 2024: Establishment of a permanent GHA representation in Cairo
- 2025: Panel on German-Egyptian cooperation at the Foreign Trade Day at the Federal Foreign Office

- 2025: First GHA delegation to Egypt with 13 companies
- High-level talks with, among others, the Minister of Health, UPA and EHA
- Visits to hospitals and health facilities
- 2025: First German-Egyptian Health Forum in Cairo with 150 decision-makers
- 2025: Publication on the MedTech market in MTD – Medical Technology Dialogue
- 2025: At the invitation of the GHA, visit of the Egyptian Minister of Health to Berlin including a roundtable discussion at the World Health Summit
- 2025: Participation of the GHA Chairman in the Federal President's trip to Egypt
- 2026: Participation in the German-Egyptian Joint Economic Commission in Cairo
- 2026: WHA, Geneva: Exchange with the Egyptian Minister of Health
- July 2026: Roundtable with the Unified Procurement Authority in Berlin
The GHA has thus built a robust network and positions itself as a central platform for German-Egyptian exchange in the health sector as well as for initiating concrete projects and partnerships.
India
India is experiencing dynamic growth in the healthcare sector, coupled with a growing demand for modern technologies and high-quality care. The GHA promotes dialogue with decision-makers, facilitates collaborations, and offers its members access to one of the most exciting healthcare markets in the world.
