The OAV – German Asia-Pacific Business Association and the GHA – German Health Alliance cordially invite you to the Panel discussion “Singapore Round Table Discussion with H.E. Minister Ong Ye Kung: Smart Healthcare – Latest Trends ” on 18 October 2022 from 18.00 – 20.00 CET.

Singapore is an example of a modern, well-established healthcare system, which faces, like Germany, the need to keep the costs low in order to make healthcare in an aging society affordable. What best practices has the highly developed city state to offer to face this challenge? What is the country’s health strategy and how might it affect other Asian countries? How is digitization and telemedicine bringing value?

In the Panel discussion “Singapore Round Table Discussion with H.E. Minister Ong Ye Kung: Smart Healthcare – Latest Trends ”, we would like to look at affordable healthcare from various perspectives and what we can do to keep it affordable. We would like to summarize what the situation is today, what challenges exist and what further measures are necessary. These includes viewpoints from developing and developed economies in Asia as despite many differences healthcare remains an important goal for all. These will be supported by measures such as digital health and telemedicine across the continent with different challenges and approaches. It is also our goal to show  our German partners how they can support these efforts with German products, services, know-how and partnerships, thus creating a win-win situation in our economic relations. The panel discussion will take an in-depth look at the role of the private sector in achieving affordable healthcare in Asia. H.E. Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health, Singapore has confirmed his participation.
