First Joint Trade Fair Appearance of GHA – German Health Alliance at MEDICA 2019

Posted on November 21, 2019

At the start of MEDICA 2019, the world of medicine meet in Düsseldorf and specifically at the GHA booth. For the first time, the GHE will appear at MEDICA together with the German Healthcare Partnership (GHP) and the German-Sino Healthcare Group (GSHCG) as GHA. At their press conference, the board members explained the background, plans, goals and visions of the GHA with its more than 100 members to the journalists at first hand.
In the afternoon of the first day of the fair, the GHA celebrated the merger of the three associations to form the GHA at the GHA booth with numerous guests from Germany and abroad and made its booth available as usual as a platform for networking.

The GHA – German Health Alliance unites the associations GHE, GHA and GSHCG with all their activities and competencies. In their multi-sectoral structure, more than 100 leading German players with an international orientation cover an extremely broad spectrum of health expertise in the GHA. The GHA connects actors from business, science and research as well as from governments, non-governmental organisations, foundations within and outside its own network, including international organisations.

The merger is particularly exciting in view of the fact that the German medical technology industry could exceed the 32 billion euro turnover mark in 2019. According to the Federal Statistical Office, the industry was able to achieve sales growth of 9.8 percent between January and August 2019. “Foreign sales even increased by 10.6 percent. This confirms to us that the export business for medical technology is a very crisis-proof industry, which we will be able to serve even better with the new structure,” says Ron Singer, 1st Chairman of the GHE.

Interested visitors can find 70% of a complete hospital equipment at one place at the GHA booth.
