The working group Eastern Europe & CIS is managed by the GHA – German Health Alliance together with Lateinamerika Verein e.V. (LAV).

• Exchange on current issues and with relevant actors and experts in the field of health in Latin America
• Presentation of the activities and the contribution of GHA members in the field of health in Latin America
• Elaboration of interfaces and potentials for GHA members
• Formulation of interests and needs of GHA members in the field of health in Latin America
• German-Latin American Health Forum: Establishment, planning, content design and topic setting for a jointly organised conference
• Stimulation of concrete projects and cooperations in the field of health in Latin America
• Preparation of position papers in the field of health in Latin America: preparation of own position papers and cooperation of the WG in further position papers of the GHA and third parties
• Sustainable and successful positioning of the GHA – German Health Alliance as a shaping actor

• Two meetings a year, held jointly with the Latin America Association e.V. (LAV)
• Preparation, support and implementation of delegation visits (incoming & outgoing)
• Close interaction with the other GHA expert groups and GHA working groups
• Jour fixe of the Working Group co-chairs with the Board of Directors
• Short report of the working group by the co-chairs within the framework of the annual GHA members’ meeting
• Establishment and use of an own e-mail distribution list Latin America for the Working Group members via GHA website and newsletter
