The company was founded in 2013 by Dr. Josef Scheiber at Waldsassen. In October 2022, the company moved to Tirschenreuth and currently employs 30 people, including data analysts, software developers, chemists and biologists. BioVariance GmbH stands for modern diagnostics in precision medicine and covers the complete processing from sending the samples to the in-house laboratory, the evaluation of the samples, to the final, easy-to-understand result report.
With broad expertise in medical and life sciences, data science and software development, the company provides analyses that enable customers to make targeted decisions. BioVariance GmbH combines structured knowledge from the literature, state-of-the-art algorithms with consistently digitalized processes in the laboratory in order to be able to deliver the highest quality quickly. The aim is to enable personalized treatment options and the optimal medication for the patient and thus to be able to treat or even cure complex cancer, infectious, neurodegenerative or mental diseases in a more targeted and efficient manner.
