Dräger is a leading international company in medical and safety technology. Founded in 1889 by Johann Heinrich Dräger in Lübeck, the family business is now in its fifth generation and has developed into a global, publicly listed corporation. "Technology for Life" is the guiding principle of the Dräger Group. Whether in hospitals, fire departments and police forces, mining, or industry: Dräger products protect, support, and save lives. Dräger technology is used all over the world. We operate directly on-site with customers in around 50 countries through our own sales and service companies. In 1979, Dräger went public with the issue of preferred shares and is now listed on the TecDax stock index. In 2010, the company issued voting common shares for the first time as part of a capital increase, thus opening itself even further to the capital market. The Dräger family continues to hold the majority of the common shares.
