CHERRY expands its expertise in the medical and industrial sectors and simplifies its own brand world
Auerbach, August 1, 2024 – CHERRY, the world's leading manufacturer of computer input devices and switches for mechanical keyboards, is expanding its expertise and innovation capabilities in the medical and laboratory sectors and integrating Active Key GmbH, acquired in 2021, into CHERRY Digital Health.
Active Key GmbH becomes an official part of Cherry Digital Health GmbH. With the full integration of this subsidiary, CHERRY is consistently continuing its path of consolidating all business areas into a single global brand. The portfolio of the CHERRY Digital Health division is thus complemented by unique solutions for use in the hygiene and medical, industrial, POS, and office sectors.
Innovative solutions for excellence in digital healthcare
Active Key GmbH was founded in 2005 and has since offered solutions for hygienic input devices characterized by exceptional durability, ease of use, and reliability. Chip card and magnetic card readers are also part of the portfolio. "What began in 2021 with the integration of Active Key GmbH has now come to a glorious conclusion with the renaming and inclusion in the CHERRY brand. We are delighted to now also be part of CHERRY in name and thus unmistakably. The cross-industry network and excellent sales channels offer high added value, especially for our customers. We will leverage this potential even more and expand our portfolio," explains Stefan Leitz, who formerly headed business development at Active Key GmbH and is now Director of Global Business Development & Sales for CHERRY Digital Health.
