Inauguration of the new Kimetec building in Ditzingen

New company headquarters creates space for sustainable growth

Ditzingen, January 20, 2026 With a festive inauguration ceremony, Kimetec GmbH, a manufacturer of medical devices for hospitals, clinics, and emergency services, officially opened its new headquarters in Ditzingen on January 20, 2026. Together with employees, project partners, and selected guests from politics and business, the family-run MedTech company celebrated a significant milestone in its more than 40-year history. Guests included Ulrich Bahmer, Mayor of Ditzingen, as well as representatives from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the participating planning partners. Discussions focused on the value of strong regional partnerships and close collaboration.

The new company headquarters is located directly next to the existing building and underscores Kimetec's long-term commitment to the Stuttgart region. Following the groundbreaking ceremony in May 2024 and a construction period of approximately 17 months, the new site has been operational since October 2025. With this new building, Kimetec is creating the structural foundation to further develop its international focus and respond to the growing demands of the medical technology market.

Spanning approximately 2.500 m², the building unites production areas, administration, and storage and logistics facilities under one roof. The functional layout of these areas enables efficient workflows, short distances, and close integration of processes. At the same time, flexible structures have been created to support future technological and organizational developments.

Sustainability aspects were also taken into account in the new building design. These include, among other things, a large photovoltaic system, a heat pump, wooden walls, and a resource-efficient construction method with high recyclability.

With its new headquarters, Kimetec is creating the spatial conditions for further growth and the long-term development of reliable medical technology solutions for national and international markets.
