GHA – German Health Alliance Medical Technology Conference in October 2023 with very positive response in the German medical technology industry

The GHA Medical Technology Conference The conference, held on October 18, 2023, focused on Brazil, received a positive response. A total of more than 40 participants from German medtech companies gathered in Markkleeberg at the host company ACL GmbH. High-profile speakers and current topics were on the agenda of this innovative alliance, which unites the majority of the German medtech industry under its umbrella.

The geopolitical workshop entitled “The Future of Germany – Between Values, Narratives and National Interest,” led by Ralf Schuster, Geopolitical Advisor in the Financial Services Division of Helaba, provided a highly interesting insight into the larger context of the current crises and conflicts the day before.

The thematic country focus Brazil was opened on 18 October by Rafael Haddad from the Latin America Committee of the German Economy, followed by Betina Sachsse from the Latin America Association eV, Matthias Marzinko from Dräger and Alessandro Colluci from the Chamber of Foreign Trade in Brazil.

All speakers emphasized that Brazil is an important sales market in Latin America. They provided information on the structure of the healthcare system and current developments in the country, and recommended that German companies become significantly more present and active in the market as suppliers.

The next Medical Technology Conference will take place on April 16, 2024, and the annual conference for all members of the GHA - German Health Alliance will take place on February 21, 2024.
