With gratitude and sadness – We say goodbye to Eeva Karsta

Dear GHA members,

It is deeply sad news that we have to share with you today:

Eeva Karsta, a long-time member of the GHA Board, a close colleague, and for some of us, a friend, lost her battle against her serious illness on May 2nd, despite all her confidence and admirable attitude, and left us far too soon.

It's almost impossible to find even remotely appropriate words where language can only fail. Eeva Karsta deserves the greatest credit for her commitment to the GHA. She always held the GHA close to her heart and supported it wherever possible. She leaves a huge gap.

We will miss Eeva Karsta's consistently positive attitude, her approachable nature, her cheerfulness, and her passion for our common goals, all influenced by her home country of Finland.
