United Robotics Group presents humanoid robot uMe for the first time at CES 2026

Stuhr, January 6, 2026 The United Robotics Group (URG) will present its humanoid robot uMe for the first time at CES 2026. This technological prototype complements the existing portfolio of mobile service and healthcare robots and demonstrates how humanoid robotics can be meaningfully integrated into real-world work environments. At the trade show, uMe will showcase initial core functions such as voice-based interaction, pre-programmed movement sequences, and sensor-based perception. These include high-resolution cameras, depth sensors, a microphone array, and an interactive display for presenting content and dialogues. uMe is fully integrated into the URG uGo+ platform and was designed from the outset to seamlessly integrate into existing data flows, device connections, and workflows.

Humanoid robotics for education, care and research

As a humanoid extension of the portfolio, uMe primarily addresses environments where social interaction and accessibility are paramount. These include educational institutions, where uMe supports learning content and makes technical concepts tangible, as well as care settings, where the robot assists with routines and provides relieving support through conversation, activation, and orientation. uMe also opens up new possibilities for research teams to develop and test robotic functions.

uGo+ as a central software platform between hardware and application

uMe is fully integrated into the uGo+ software platform, which connects mobile and humanoid robot systems via a common architecture. uGo+ is intentionally designed as a user-centric platform that is continuously evolving and will eventually become truly no-code. The goal is to empower users to configure and adapt robotics workflows independently, safely, and without programming knowledge. The further development of uGo+—along with the humanoid prototype uMe—is one of the United Robotics Group's key development priorities, as it bridges the gap between hardware, concrete applications, and everyday usability. uMe is also designed as an open, extensible platform, offering partners from industry, research, and education the opportunity to develop their own modules, test functions, and pilot new scenarios. This creates a seamless interplay between the software platform and specialized robot systems, which already include several specialized service robots for laboratory, clinical, and logistics environments: uLab Mobile, uServe, uLog, and uClean. Together they form a seamless system in which mobile and humanoid robotics can interact via a shared infrastructure.
