German-Brazilian Business Days at the Hannover Messe 2026
Brazil is the partner country of HANNOVER MESSE 2026 – a perfect setting for the 42nd German-Brazilian Business Days, which will take place in Hanover from April 19 to 20, 2026.
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz have confirmed their attendance and will open DBWT 2026. The event will be hosted by BDI President Peter Leibinger, CNI President Ricardo Alban, and Deutsche Messe CEO Jochen Köckler. Other speakers from business, politics, and academia include EU Trade Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič and LADW Chairman Thomas Schmall.
For Germany, diversification is no longer just an option. It is an integral part of our economic resilience strategy. The trusting partnership with Brazil plays a central role here – also as a form of forward-looking geopolitics.
How can cooperation between the two countries contribute to making Germany and Brazil more resilient and stronger in terms of growth? Where does their shared competitive advantage lie in AI and digitalization? What impetus is needed now for increased trade and future investments? What role does smart mining play in security of supply and value creation? What contribution does defense cooperation make to technological sovereignty?
