“New Alliances for Women’s Health – Together for Global Justice” with presentation of the study

The GHA - German Health Alliance invites under the patronage of Mr. Sascha van Beek, Member of Parliament, on Wednesday, September 10th from 11:30 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. to an event in the German Bundestag in Berlin.

For the event we were able Federal Minister Reem Alabali Radovan, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. She will open the event with a keynote speech.

For decades, medical research was primarily focused on the male body—with far-reaching consequences for diagnostics, therapy, and women's health care. Significant gaps in care and structural inequalities persist today, particularly in developing and emerging countries. There, access to health services is often limited, politically contested, and further threatened by global setbacks in women's rights.

Women's health must be understood worldwide as an integral component of gender-equitable and sustainable healthcare. Strengthening women's health requires cross-sector alliances between actors from politics, business, science, and civil society who work together to promote awareness, education, research, investment, and increased visibility of women-specific issues.

As part of the event, we will also present our desktop study “Investing in Women’s Health: Economic Opportunities and Social Responsibility” The study contains a comprehensive mapping of the actors active in the field of women's health and highlights key challenges and areas for action.

Together with you, we would like to discuss various approaches to solutions and explore how we can actively contribute to gender-equitable healthcare and strengthen women's health worldwide.
