The Proximal Tibia Plates 3.5/4.5 are part of the LOQTEQ® Plating System and were designed to address fractures of the proximal tibia and diaphyseal fractures of the tibia.
Gliding-locking holes in the plate shaft enable fracture compression and angular-stable locking in one single step.
The pre-shaped LOQTEQ® Proximal Lateral Tibia Plates 3.5 /4.5 (PLT) are adapted to the proximal tibia anatomy with an optimized fit to the lateral tibia condyle. The plates can be used as an alignment guide for reconstructing complex fractures and offer a variety of screw positions.
Locking screws are oriented in a diagonal cranial direction support the stabilization of medial fragments and proximal screws in the L-limb slightly diverge, parallel to the joint. Minor contact undercuts are designed to minimize the reduction in blood supply to the periosteum. Also, the flattened end of the plate shaft enables the tissue-conserving, submuscular insertion of the plate and aims to reduce the risk of soft tissue irritations. Holes for K-wires and an oblong hole facilitate the primary fixation of the plate.
Field of Use:
The LOQTEQ® PLT Plates 3.5/4.5 are indicated for the fixation of intra- and extra-articular fractures of the proximal tibia, it is also possible to treat non-unions as well as shaft fractures and mal alignment.
C1-C3 fractures can be addressed with the double plating technique by using the LOQTEQ® PLT Plate 3.5 in combination with the LOQTEQ® Proximal Medial Tibia Plate 3.5.

The LOQTEQ® Proximal Tibia 3.5 set contains 3 and 6 hole PMT plates 3.5 as well as the PLT 3.5 plates with 7, 9 and 12 holes in the shaft. Each plate is available in a right and left version.
The LOQTEQ® Proximal Lateral Tibia 4.5 set is part of the Large Fragment Set and includes anatomical plates with 6, 8, 10 and 12 holes in the shaft. Less common sizes are not on the set, they are sterile packed and can be ordered separately.
