The Proximal Medial Tibia Plates 3.5 (PMT) are part of the LOQTEQ® Plating System and were designed to address fractures of the proximal medial tibia. The PMT plates 3.5 are available in a short and two long versions.
The gliding-locking holes in the plate shaft enable compression and angular-stable locking in one single step.
The pre-shaped LOQTEQ® PMT Plates 3.5 are adapted to the anatomy of the proximal medial tibia and can be used as an alignment guide for reconstructing complex fractures. The diagonal cranial direction of the locking screw supports the stabilization of the tibia head. Furthermore, Minor Contact undercuts are designed to minimize the reduction in blood supply to the periosteum. The flattened end of the plate shaft enables the tissue-conserving, submuscular insertion of the plate. It also allows an adequate soft tissue coverage and aims to limit soft tissue irritation.
Field of Use:
The LOQTEQ® Proximal Medial Tibia Plate 3.5 is used for typical fracture patterns like metaphyseal fractures of the medial tibia plateau, split fractures and depression fractures on the medial side. In addition, complex C1-C3 fractures can be addressed with double plating in combination with the LOQTEQ® Proximal Lateral Tibia (PLT) Plate 3.5.

The LOQTEQ® PMT Plates 3.5 are available in two versions. With the long version (6 and 10 hole) the surgeon is able to compress diaphyseal fractures. The short plate (3 holes) is only 2.5 mm thin and can be used as buttress plate for double plating. The tray contains of the 3 and 6 hole PMT 3.5 plates as well as the PLT 3.5 plates. Each size is available in a left and right versions.
The LOQTEQ® PMT Plate 3.5 System is available as a modular add-on set to the LOQTEQ® Small Fragment Set which can optimize operating room experience and sterilization costs as well. Common sizes are on the tray, less common sizes are sterile packed and separately available.
