The solution combines room and contamination-risk assessment with no-touch UV-C technology and digital cycle documentation. Three coordinated mobile emitters are used in unoccupied rooms. Room measurement and cycle calculation support defined applications, while integrated safety controls stop operation if access is detected.
The system is designed to make supplementary room-decontamination processes more measurable, traceable and auditable. It is particularly suited to operating theatres, intensive care units, isolation rooms, procedure rooms and other sensitive clinical areas in which environmental contamination with clinically relevant or multidrug-resistant pathogens presents a particular challenge.
OCTA complements established hygiene protocols and manual cleaning and disinfection. Its structured room, cycle and process documentation supports quality management and evidence-based infection prevention. The approach is informed by the contamination-control principles of EN 17141 and the Clean Hospitals Healthcare Environmental Hygiene Self-Assessment Framework (HEHSAF).
OCTA can be integrated into existing hospital infrastructure and modernisation projects. It supports hospital environmental hygiene and IPC programmes augmenting manual cleaning, microbiological interpretation, infection surveillance, clinical decision-making and IPC governance.
