The Organisation for Relief Development (ORD) Germany gUG is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering positive social and environmental change. Our mission is to address the challenges posed by climate change, natural disasters, and conflicts by delivering holistic solutions that are tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve.
At ORD, we believe that meaningful change is an ongoing process, not a one-time event. Our approach emphasizes people-centered strategies that encourage active community participation, collaboration with local stakeholders, and the use of innovative problem-solving methods. We are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards across all our initiatives, ensuring that our interventions have a lasting and sustainable impact on the communities we aim to uplift.

Since 2010, ORD has implemented 241 projects that have served 23 million beneficiaries in Afghanistan. The total budget for these projects is USD 69 million.

ORD´s areas of intervention include Health Infrastructure and Shelter, WASH, Education and Skills Development, Livelihood and Economic Development, Sustainable Energy for Social Infrastructure, and Climate Action.

ORD has extensive experience in the planning and implementation of health facilities and hospitals and has implemented a total of 14 projects in this area. Moreover, ORD has a team of experts who have solid knowledge and experience in the development and execution of health projects, including the design of health facilities in fragile and post-conflict environments.
