Cancelled: 1st German – Asian Health Forum: Bridging Germany and Asia for Better Health
We regret to inform you that the 1st German – Asian Health Forum: Bridging Germany and Asia for Better Health, originally scheduled for 15 October 2025 in Berlin as an official side event of the World Health Summit, has been cancelled.
This decision was taken in light of the 78th Session of the WHO South-East Asia Regional Committee Meeting, which will be hosted by Sri Lanka from 13–15 October 2025 in Colombo. The meeting will gather health ministers and officials from 11 member nations, WHO representatives, UN agencies, and development partners, making it one of the most important health policy forums in the region.
Given the overlap in dates and the participation of many of our intended speakers and partners in this crucial regional event, we have decided to cancel this year’s Forum in order to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure the highest level of engagement for a future edition.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change and thank you for your understanding. We remain committed to fostering dialogue and collaboration between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region, and we are exploring opportunities to hold the Forum at a later date.
We will keep you updated and very much hope to welcome you on a future occasion.
Kind regards,

Across the region, massive investments are being made in healthcare infrastructure, medical technology, and pharmaceutical and biotech industries, driving both innovation and global supply chains. Digital health solutions, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence are being adopted at unprecedented scope and speed, transforming the way healthcare is delivered and managed. At the same time, ageing populations and the rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases are creating a strong demand for sustainable healthcare financing and innovative, cost-effective solutions.
