The first World Health Summit Regional Meeting in India opens on April 25 in New Delhi
The WHS Regional Meeting 2025 from April 25–27 in New Delhi convenes experts and leaders to work together towards building a healthier future for the region by addressing its most pressing challenges and promoting global health progress, focusing on the overall theme „Scaling Access to Ensure Health Equity.“
The WHS Regional Meeting 2025 is hosted by NIMS University and co-hosted by Ashoka University and Manipal Academy of Higher Education. In 90 sessions over three days, speakers and participants from over 40 countries will discuss strategies to improve global health in the region and beyond.

Background
The WHS Regional Meeting takes place every year in different parts of the world in addition to the annual World Health Summit in Berlin and brings regional topics to the forefront. Each WHS Regional Meeting is hosted by the WHS Academic Alliance member holding the World Health Summit International Presidency, which rotates every year.
The WHS Academic Alliance is the academic network of the World Health Summit consisting of around 30 leading academic health centers, universities, and research institutions from all over the world.

About the World Health Summit
The World Health Summit is the international platform for global health. It brings together stakeholders from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society from around the world to set the agenda for a healthier future by inspiring innovative solutions for better health and well-being for all.
The World Health Summit as a conference and strategic forum was founded in 2009 at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin and is held each October in Berlin. President of the World Health Summit is Prof. Dr. Axel R. Pries. In 2025, the World Health Summit takes place under the theme „Taking Responsibility for Health in a Fragmenting World.“
