Ambassadors‘ Day „Medical Technology Made in Germany“

The Ambassadors‘ Day will take place at Siemens Healthineers, a leading medical technology company, and will include a visit to the Experience Centre, a tour of a production facility and a short forum on diagnosis and treatment of non-infectious diseases, especially oncology, which are becoming increasingly important worldwide.

Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic in particular has preoccupied health systems worldwide. This has automatically marginalized other important issues such as NCDs. That applies especially in countries with chronically weak health systems. At the same time, the absolute numbers of NCDs like cancer, are rising rapidly around the globe. On the African continent, for example, they will soon overtake communicable diseases as the leading cause of death. This dilemma can only be overcome through a concerted effort by all stakeholders in health care – governments, and the private sector – working together. Early detection is a key factor in relieving the burden on healthcare systems here and reducing mortality.  Siemens Healthineers is committed to being a strong partner, as it is uniquely positioned to support the entire cancer pathway.

The Ambassadors‘ Day will begin at 11.45 a.m. and last until approx. 4.30 p.m. The event will be held in English with translation into French.

Participation is limited to ambassadors and embassy representatives.

Arrival and Departure

For Individual Arrival:

• Please be at Siemens Healthineers Forchheim no later than 11:30 AM.
• Address: Siemensstr. 3, 91301 Forchheim.

For Traveling with Deutsche Bahn (self-booking required!):

• Outbound journey:
  • Train: ICE 505
  • Route: Berlin Hauptbahnhof (8:28) → Bamberg (11:15)
  • Transfer: Provided by the organizers from Bamberg railway station to Forchheim.

• Return journey:
  • Train 1: RE14, Forchheim – Oberfr (17:02) → Bamberg (17:18)
  • Train 2: ICE 704, Bamberg (17:42) → Berlin (20:31)
  • Transfer: Provided by the organizers from Siemens Healthineers to Forchheim railway station.
