Live-Webinar series consisting of three sessions on corona virus and COVID-19 and health care system in Ukraine
Ukraine’s health care system is in transition and still struggling with the impact of high rates of noncommunicable and also infectious diseases. In addition to the already critical state of the health care system and the insufficient medical care, Ukraine has been hit particularly hard by the corona pandemic. Ukraine´s health care system is on the verge of collapse due to high infection rates, in cities as well in rural areas. The webinar series presents contributions on health care structures and reviews best practices and lessons learned to contain the corona pandemic.
The first webinar will be held on 22.12.2020, 10:00 – 12:00 and focusses on “Public health aspects and epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2”:
Epidemiological dynamics, new infection rate, patient rate, mortality/fatality rate, reproduction number, positivity rate of virus tests, counter measures and testing for their efficacy, monitoring and surveillance measures, outbreak control, contact tracing – pitfalls and lessons learned
