Sehr geehrte Mitglieder der GHA und des OAVs,

innerhalb der weitläufigen geografischen Region East Asia Pacific zählen Japan und Korea zu den führenden Industrienationen mit zweifellos attraktiven Marktgrößen im Gesundheitssektor. Gleichzeitig sind die lokale Wettbewerber-Situation, die Markteintrittsbarrieren und kulturelle Gegebenheiten andere als in den anderen asiatischen Ländern.

Im Interesse unser Mitglieder möchte unsere Arbeitsgruppe „Gesundheit in Asien“ diesem Umstand Rechnung tragen und in ihrer nächsten online Veranstaltung am Mittwoch, den 31.08.2022 von 10.00 bis 11.30 Uhr deutscher Zeit insbesondere die regulatorischen Eintrittshürden diskutieren. Wir werden uns auf die Medizintechnik-Branche fokussieren, wobei wir ebenfalls Gelegenheit finden werden auf die Diagnostik- und Pharma-Branche zu sprechen zu kommen.

Unsere Gastsprecherinnen und Gastsprecher werden von ihren konkreten Erfahrungen in beiden Märkten berichten. Wir werden dabei ausreichend Zeit für aktiven Diskussionen über Japan und Korea bieten. Dear GHA and OAV Members,

within the large geographic region of East Asia Pacific, Japan and Korea are among the leading industrialized nations with undoubtedly attractive market sizes in the healthcare sector. At the same time, the local competitor situation, market entry barriers and cultural realities are different than in the other Asian countries.

In the interest of our members, our working group “Health in Asia” would like to take this into account and discuss in particular the regulatory entry barriers in its next online event on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:30 am German time. We will focus on the medical device industry, although we will find opportunities to talk about the diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries as well.

Our guest speakers will report on their concrete experiences in both markets, and we will provide ample time for active discussions about Japan and Korea. Thus, we cordially invite you and look forward to your participation. More details will follow soon.
