The procurement system of the African Development Bank (AfDB) | 14 Jun 2024 | Virtuell
We would like to invite you to our event “Profiting from tenders for market entry in developing and emerging countries – The procurement system of the African Development Bank (AfDB)” on June 14, 2024 from 11:00 to 12:30, online via Teams
The program focuses on the successful participation of German companies in tenders, with particular attention being paid to the procurement system of the African Development Bank (AfDB).
Applying for tenders offers small and medium-sized enterprises a promising opportunity to tap into new markets. However, in order to be successful, a strategic and intelligent approach is required that minimizes costs and effort.
Germany holds a 4% share (equivalent to around USD 8.5 billion) in the African Development Bank (AfDB), which is the largest share of any European country. However, German companies currently only account for around 2% of the total value of procurements. The AfDB aims to overcome this discrepancy and increase the participation of German companies.
An expert from Germany Trade & Invest will provide practical insights into the tendering business. In addition to this, a representative of the AfDB will provide information on the procurement processes, while successful companies will share their experiences.
The webinar is organized by the Business Scouts of the Agency for Business and Economic Development in cooperation with the Association of Consulting Engineers and Germany Trade & Invest.

We are looking forward to your registration via this form until May 31, 2024.
