Open consultation – Health technology assessment (HTA) for medical devices (Second edition)
The call closes on July 17, 2024.
The World Health Organization (WHO), is seeking feedback on the first draft of of the second edition. In 2011, WHO published the first edition of Health Technology Assessment for Medical Devices.
The second edition aims to provide policy advice to advance the use of HTA for medical devices and to strengthen evidence-based decision-making in health care. It addresses new methods, global collaboration, and special topics for innovative technologies. Kindly note that it is work in progress and your input is most welcome.
The call for submissions for the fifth WHO model list of essential in vitro diagnostics (EDL 5) is open

The EDL is a health policy document, based on scientific evidence, consisting of a list of categories of IVD tests and recommendations for using those tests in relation to the assay format, test purpose, specimen type and health care setting. The EDL aims to serve as a reference to guide development of or to update a national EDL (NEDL) at the country level within the framework of universal health coverage.
