United World Against Diabetes (UWAD) is a nonprofit organization fighting against diabetes and related non-communicable diseases (NCD).
The mission of UWAD is to unite the world against diabetes by the partnership with nonprofit organizations, universities, research institutions, advocacy agencies, hospitals, government institutions, and private companies for promotion of diabetes care, control, prevention, awareness, education, policies, and scientific research.
UWAD is also working for access to essential medicines and insulin at affordable prices, Research for plant-based medicines, Medicinal plant protection & conservation, study for climate changes effect on human health, Obesity, Tobacco control, and clean & safe drinking water initiative.
We are an advocate for Type1Diabetic children, diabetic Old people, and women living with diabetes.
UWAD reached out to GHA in order to establish partnerships with GHA-members in India:
“As you know India is a diabetes capital in the world, We are looking partnership with the organizations which help us to provide the health solution in terms of advanced technology, project support, health expertise, advocacy, strengthing health system and funding. Diabetes is a big issue in South Asia but still neglected, around 58% population is still waiting for diagnosis they don’t know they have it or not.
We have a very good volunteer network in throughout India, Our NGO mainly looking for project funding and partnership support.”
