On November 1, 2023, the three large German companies of the KLS Martin Group – Karl Leibinger Medizintechnik in Mühlheim an der Donau, Gebrüder Martin in Tuttlingen and KLS Martin in Freiburg – merged to form one company under the name KLS Martin SE & Co. KG. The umbrella brand of all locations worldwide, the KLS Martin Group, remains unaffected by the change of name and continues to serve as a distinguishing feature of the group of companies. The company management by the Leibinger family and Mr. Michael Martin and Mr. Thomas Hipp will also remain as usual. In addition to the existing works councils at the respective company locations, the interests of employees across all locations will now be represented by a general works council.

In addition to the merger, KLS Martin has another major project on the agenda in Tuttlingen. Over the next five years, the company will invest a double-digit million euro amount in new buildings here. This includes the expansion of the logistics center, the construction of a parking garage for employees and the construction of a new office building. The existing buildings will also be revitalized and renovated in terms of energy efficiency in order to take a sustainable approach to construction.
