The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting global crisis are highlighting the importance of strengthening health systems. The state of a country’s health infrastructure can have a major impact on health security worldwide. Innovation and new technologies are key drivers in responding to health challenges. The global response to COVID-19 has demonstrated the potential of innovative health tools as pandemic response measures.
