- More convenience, fewer costs thanks to an innovative identity provider (IDP) Gütersloh, 28 September 2022
(Arvato Systems) Gütersloh – Arvato Systems creates an important component for the entry into the telematics infrastructure 2.0 and realizes the provision of digital identities for all insured persons in the German healthcare system. The full-service offering is future-proof, and secure and meets all the necessary requirements of the EU and Gematik.
In the future, the security of the telematics infrastructure 2.0 will be based on digital identities. In addition, it will have a federated structure, which means that in some cases already established, central IDP concepts will no longer be suitable. With a flexible solution based on decentralized identities, Arvato Systems addresses these requirements and at the same time prepares itself for the future in the direction of the required EU directives (eIDAS).
To comply with the guidelines, the verified identities, and their data, such as health insurance numbers, must be stored securely on the mobile device. This makes it possible to identify the insured person via smartphone or tablet. The digital identity provided by Arvato Systems also gives the user access to his or her personal ePA (electronic patient record) or ePrescription.
The data can be accessed with or without a connection to the Internet and provides insured persons maximum convenience, which they already know from the digital vaccination certificate or payment with the smartwatch. A secure, innovative solution that Arvato Systems offers to public and private health insurance companies as an all-around carefree package. Jan Wemmel, Senior Vice President Health & Public Sector at Arvato Systems, emphasizes: “As an established partner, we are creating a future-proof solution with our new and at the same time cost-efficient offering. It already meets the requirements of telematics infrastructure 2.0 and the insured’s demand for genuine digital convenience.”
