The GHA – German Health Alliance has completed a change of management board and appointed Erhard Fichtner as its new co-chair, who will focus more on the interests of medtech companies.
As of September 18, 2020, medical technology expert Erhard Fichtner took over from Ronald Singer as Co-Chairman. Since Singer has not been professionally involved in the operative business since his retirement at Siemens in October 2015, he is leaving the field to the younger generation.
Singer worked for Siemens for over 42 years as a logistics and sales manager. For more than thirty years, he was responsible for the worldwide equipment of hospitals with medical technology up to the complete furnishing of clinics.
Together with Siemens, Singer was one of the founding members of the German Healthcare Export Group (GHE) e.V. and has helped shape the medical technology network with great skill and commitment. Singer was active for the GHE and GHA for more than twenty years, five of them as Chairman of the GHE and, since the merger of GHE, German Healthcare Partnership (GHP) and German-Sino Healthcare Group (GSHCG) to form the GHA – German Health Alliance, together with Roland Göhde as Chairman of the GHA since January 1, 2020.
“On behalf of the entire GHA board of directors and our members, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the excellent and dedicated work and the merits of Ron Singer. I am very much looking forward to working closely with Erhard Fichtner in the future,” said Roland Göhde. Singer will remain on the GHA board of directors to continue to provide valuable input and support.
With his many years of experience as owner of Protec GmbH and other companies in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Fichtner intends to further advance GHA internationally. With more than 30 years of experience in medical technology and 20 years in the GHE trade association, Fichtner is very familiar with the challenges facing this industry. “Medical technology ‘Made in Germany’ is still a trademark for innovation and reliability and has shown its strengths especially in times of corona”, emphasizes Fichtner.
GHA initiates the next phase of its internationalization with the highly experienced board duo Roland Göhde and Erhard Fichtner.
