Harnessing digital technology within Surgical Care Systems: An investment case for Health System Strengthening

The event is invitation-only and will be held on the margins of the World Health Summit (WHS) in Berlin on October 17th, 2022, at 18:30-20:00. The event is co-hosted by the Global Surgery Foundation, Proximie, Health Innovation Exchange and the German Health Alliance.

This event will focus on how digital technology can serve as a key enabler to augment distributed capacities within surgical care systems. Surgical care systems have been clearly shown to be a fundamental pathway towards health system strengthening and Universal Health Coverage. The event’s discussion will demonstrate the great opportunity in leveraging innovative digital technology for scaling up access to safe and affordable surgical care globally, and in particular, providing solutions for augmenting the health workforce.
