This event will give an overview of investment opportunities and challenges for companies interested or already active in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The UAE and the KSA are interesting markets with high potential and the health care sector is no exception. Both countries are the major trading partners for German companies in the MENA region.

With its political stability, a diversified economy and excellent infrastructure make the UAE an ideal foreign investment destination. In recent years it has become the most dynamic economic center in the region. In 2020 in order to strenghten the collaboration between the UAE and Germany both parties launched  the “Emirati-German Taskforce on 4IR”. The healthcare sector is one of the pillars.

Its position in the region makes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a natural logistic hub for world wide trade routes as well as a promising location for business expansions. A remodelling of its reliance on oil to a more balanced economy has lead to substantial investments in the healthcare infrastructure. Its liberal framework for FDIs, the growing population and governmental programmes aimed at developing the countries infrastructure are only some of the advantages the KSA offers foreign companies.
