The current global challenge posed by the coronavirus shows us how indispensable coordinated action by government organisations, including the major national aid organisations, is. Furthermore, against the background of the changed security situation, the Federal Government’s White Paper also calls for stronger joint action and the coming together of civil and military protagonists. The German Red Cross (DRK) Act is an important basis for support from national aid organisations in this respect.
We are addressing this matter and – under the title of “The Civil-Military Cooperation Network for Healthcare – Partners in Civil Protection and the Geneva Convention”  – holding an event in Berlin on December 6, 2021 which is devoted precisely to this key topic.
