Short bursts of ventilation cost energy and can quickly become uncomfortable in the cold season. WOLF offers a quick and effective solution with the CGL 2 edu. The decentralised air handling unit is a real all-rounder for the non-residential sector: In administrative and office buildings, educational establishments and many other spaces, it ensures comfortable, hygienic and healthy indoor air while also saving energy.
Incredibly quiet with a high air flow rate
With the CGL 2 edu, WOLF has further developed its existing range of floorstanding air handling units. Even with a very high air flow rate of up to 1,100 m³/h, the air handling unit is incredibly quiet and ensures that used room air is effectively exchanged for fresh outside air. This means that the CO2 concentration in the room stays low and virus-contaminated aerosol particles, pollutants, odours and dust particles are removed. If necessary, a second filter stage can be installed in the supply air. In offices or educational establishments, the unit thus meets the high requirements for both hygiene and noise levels.
Heat is recovered by means of a high performance plate heat exchanger with efficiency of over 90%. This means that the majority of the heat is transferred from the extract air flow to the supply air flow. In contrast to airing through open windows, the thermal energy stays where it is needed. This keeps rooms warm even in the cold winter months.
The air volume flow is regulated as required based on the measured CO2 values. In addition, the CGL 2 edu has an integrated bypass for night ventilation and a shut-off valve for outside and exhaust air. The optional integration of an electrical pre-heater and re-heater coil ensures even greater thermal comfort.
Rapid installation and simple operation
No major construction work is required to install and start up the CGL 2 edu. The extensive range of accessories enables maximum flexibility when setting up the unit. The supply air can be distributed directly in the room via discharge modules. Both a pipe connection through a window and a hole in the outside wall are quick solutions for connecting the unit via an insulated duct system (accessory). The air handling unit can also be installed in an adjoining room. An enthalpy heat exchanger for moisture recovery is also available as an option. The easily controllable WOLF WRS-K controller offers a high level of operating convenience in everyday life and can be easily connected to the building management system if required.
