Bonn 11th August 2023
Together with the IFC- International Finance Corporation, the GHA – German Health Alliance is hosting this webinar for its member companies and partner organizations on 30th August 2023.
Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the IFC is the world’s largest private sector development finance institution in emerging markets with 185 member states, with annual new investment commitments of over $30 billion.
In line with its global strategy on health, nutrition, and population, the World Bank Group supports countries’ efforts to achieve universal health coverage through stronger primary health systems and to provide high-quality, affordable health services for all, regardless of their ability to pay.
To this end, the IFC participates in several public-private partnerships in the healthcare sector. It has an active portfolio of $3.5 billion in healthcare companies in emerging markets. Through these investments, IFC helps private providers meet the growing demand for healthcare and supports governments in achieving universal health coverage by 2030.
With the webinar, GHA and IFC want to actively support the creation of robust and resilient healthcare systems in emerging markets with innovative solutions and financing mechanisms.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Alois Dörlemann, Co-Chairman of the GHA Working Group Global Health & Development Cooperation and Managing Director of Health Focus GmbH.
The webinar is offered free of charge and will take place on 30th August 2023, from 3.00- 4.00 p.m. The event will be held in English. Registration via the link on the GHA website, where you can also see the full agenda.
