Berlin / July 4, 2024 – Health in times of climate change, digitalization, artificial intelligence, trust in science and financing of global health are the focus of this year’s World Health Summit in Berlin. From October 13 to 15, 2024, leading international representatives from politics, science, private sector, and civil society will discuss the most important issues under the motto “Building Trust for a Healthier World”. Over 350 speakers and 3,000 participants from all over the world are expected to attend.

In addition to keynotes, panel discussions and workshops, the Global Health Lab series is a new addition to the WHS 2024 program: These in-depth debates with stakeholders from all sectors focus on the interactive participation of all attendees and an intensive exchange.

The World Health Summit is the international platform for global health. It brings together stakeholders from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society from around the world to set the agenda for a healthier future and well-being for all. The World Health Summit strengthens exchange, stimulates innovative solutions to health challenges, fosters global health as a key political issue, and promotes the global health debate in the spirit of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The World Health Summit as a conference and strategic forum takes place every year in October in Berlin with around 3,000 participants on site and more than 10,000 online and was founded in 2009 at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
The World Health Summit 2024 stands under the patronage of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The President of the World Health Summit is Prof. Axel R. Pries, the International Presidents of the Year 2024 are Prof. Sophia Zoungas and Prof. Christina Mitchell, Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
Accreditation for media representatives opens approximately six weeks before the World Health Summit. No registration is required for online participation. The entire main program of the World Health Summit is open to the press.
