Rülzheim, Germany, September 28, 2021 – EIZO GmbH today announced the LMM0802-HDMI – a Large Monitor Manager with triple 4K output for displaying multiple image sources on large format monitors or across multiple monitors. EIZO also announced an upgrade to its existing Large Monitor Manager LMM0804, which shares many features with the new LMM0802-HDMI. The new and upgraded models are designed to address the diverse needs of various applications in the fields of surgery, cardiology, interventional radiology, and control room operations.
The increase in digital video sources throughout hospitals leads to more complex image display and management for operating rooms. To address this, the LMM0802-HDMI is equipped with two more HDMI outputs. This enables two additional 4K UHD monitors to be connected directly to the LMM0802-HDMI. The new Large Monitor Manager supports 4K/60p via single HDMI cable as well as 4K connection through dual DVI cables. Two different display modes allow for great flexibility to connect several monitors at the same time. In Single Workspace mode, the LMM0802-HDMI can display up to eight video sources on three 4K UHD monitors simultaneously. In Dual Workspace mode, the Large Monitor Manager displays images on multiple monitors up to 4 Megapixels.
The LMM0802-HDMI introduces new functions for increased flexibility and efficiency which have also been added to the existing LMM0804 as an upgrade. The Dynamic Layout function allows users to easily resize image windows during local operation by using the mouse to suit the respective application. Each window can also be zoomed in and out as necessary. The new Annotation function allows operators to add graphical objects and text comments to images for documentation purpose during operation.
Working with a Large Monitor Manager, the operator can focus on a single monitor, keyboard and mouse instead of juggling with multiple systems. This speeds up workflow and reduces the potential for handling errors. Connecting two monitors, two keyboards, and two mice to the Large Monitor Manager supports a dual workspace in the control room. Thus, the display of images in the operating room can be effectively managed. The monitor layout can be edited or rearranged locally with a keyboard and mouse, or remotely via the web browser interface. The new LMM Control software which can be optionally purchased for all EIZO Large Monitor Manager models allows operators to switch between layouts, arrange video inputs and use the Dynamic Layout function even on a touch enabled PC.
EIZO will be demonstrating the LMM0802-HDMI at Medica 2021 from November 15 – 18 in Düsseldorf, Germany, hall 10, booth 10H41.
