The Gesundes Kinzigtal health network is involved in a nationwide project on corona management. The aim is to provide companies with strategies and action aids that can be used to identify micro-outbreaks in the workplace at an early stage. Together with the Heidelberg-based company Health Vision and scientifically accompanied by the Mannheim Medical Faculty of the University of Heidelberg, Gesundes Kinzigtal is further developing the B-FAST (Bundesweites Forschungsnetz Angewandte Surveillance und Testung) project of the National Research Network of University Medicine (NUM) under the name CoviSecure.
The goal of CoviSecure is to detect asymptomatic infections in employees at an early stage and minimize the risk of an uncontrolled outbreak. Within the company, risk groups can be formed and tested along a strategy agreed with the company. The company is thus given a tool that both increases the safety of employees in their workplace and keeps the business running.
The concept has already been successfully implemented and positively evaluated in several medical facilities, practices and companies. Dr. Christoph Löschmann, Managing Director of Gesundes Kinzigtal sees advantages for all partners in this cooperation: “We are also in close contact with B-FAST through this cooperation and pass on our regionally gained experience to the network.”
