More than 30 diplomats accepted the invitation of the Healthcare Export Initiative, the German Healthcare Export Group (GHE) and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI) to MEDICA. For the eighth time already, foreign diplomats were able to find out live about the innovative product solutions offered by German medical technology companies and engage in targeted discussions. The GHE member companies Erbe, Hico and Schölly were visited during an exclusive tour.

At Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH, a family-owned company, the company boss personally welcomed the diplomats to the stand. Since 1851 Erbe has been setting standards for surgical systems in electrosurgery, high-frequency surgery and cyrosurgery.

KG (Hico), the entire team explained the requirements for reliable patient temperature management. The precise heating and cooling of the patients in the OR and in intensive care contributes to the improvement of the healing process. It is supplemented by pain-relieving pressure relief and successful inhalation therapy.

The family business Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH has been offering endoscopic visualization for over 40 years. Schölly develops novel endoscopic technologies and supplies highly specialized endoscopes as well as suitable solutions for endoscopic applications.

The diplomats were accompanied by representatives of the trade associations during the diplomat tour, which is organised in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office. This offered the opportunity to find out about what the German healthcare industry has to offer and at the same time to exchange information on trade topics.
