On February 18, 2020, the medical technology members of GHA, which was merged on January 1, 2020, will meet together for the first time. The conference will focus on “Disaster and Defense Medicine”. Due to the ever-increasing importance of the German medical service and increasing international cooperation, this topic is also gaining in importance beyond the borders of Germany.
With a detailed report on the structure, tasks and competencies of the medical service as well as an explanation of the procurement channels by a representative of the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology and Utilization of the Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), Koblenz, the participating members are introduced to these two very important areas. The importance of this market is still unknown to many companies.
Another focus shortly after the merger will be on the internal part of the GHA meeting to get to know each other and their ideas. The future positioning and orientation of the GHA will also be discussed.
The GHA Medical Technology Network, to which just under 50 of the 104 members of the GHA currently belong, focuses on medical technology export topics at its two annual meetings in a smaller circle.
