Hospital Engineering GmbH (HEG) has been an active new member of the GHA since the beginning of 2021. “The excellent network and contacts to the industry and customers tipped the scales for us to become a GHA member,” emphasized Johannes O. Bockmann, Managing Director of Hospital Engineering GmbH.
The family-owned company stands for customized solutions in the healthcare sector. HEG is active worldwide as a specialist in the planning and implementation of healthcare facilities through all development phases of medical and clinical projects. The focus is on medical technology planning, architecture, supply, installation, training and service of medical equipment.
“In the project business, we also rely on contacts through GHA members to find new partners to collaborate with, for example, in the implementation of large hospital projects,” Bockmann said.
HEG, which was founded in 1977 and is based in Hamburg and Wurmlingen in Baden-Württemberg, is 100% active in the global export business. The focus is on Africa, e.g. Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana. For West Africa, for example, HEG has had its own presence in Ghana for over 40 years with technical service and a training center.
As early as 1993, HEG handed over its first turnkey project, the National Cardio-Thoracic Centre in Accra, Ghana. By 2010, HEG had implemented over 100 projects worldwide. In 2020, HEG broke ground on another turnkey project, a 12-story new building for a maternity, gynecology and fertility center in Accra.
These years of international experience combined with knowledge of local conditions and the delivery of everything from a single source account for HEG’s success.
